The food was plentiful and deeeelicious‼. The wonderful interior decorations and sincerely nice waitresses are really a treat. All on a Friday when it's very busy but moving with beauty, grace and speed! Can't wait to go back !
Solid food, great portions, good service. Not too quiet or too loud-a great spot! The tortilla soup is a fave-spicy but not too much so.
Sunday 8/4/24. All 8 people at our table had great service. The food was generous and flavored well. No complaints tgere. But, My husband and I both ordered Fajita salads (not wanting carbs). Great flavor, but both the beef and the chicken were SO DRY the meat was as tough as jerky!! Obviously pre cooked and dried out long before we arrived! Our advice... Order ANYTHING else on the menu...
Aurrrmm Naurmmmm Naurmmmmmm. Yummy food! The people are so kind and the food comes out very quick. I have only eaten takeout but from what I can tell from quick step ins, the decor is excellent and it's usually pretty quiet.
Wish you were in Hillsboro because my linfield days were spent going here for dinner 3 nights a week and 15 years later youre just as delicious, with great customer service and a family favorite we can only make the 2 hour trek to a couple times a year for special occasions.
It has been a few years since the last time my wife and I have been inside of this restaurant. After recommendation from a couple of friends, we decided to give it a second go when we walked inside the establishment had a brand new look to it. It looked fresh and clean, clear down to its bathroom. We went fairly early in the evening and late in the afternoon (3:30 pm) so they really wasn't a large rush of people there. And by this we could actually get a good feel for how good the food is coming out fresh we were greeted by a very nice lady, who quickly sat down, gave us some water chips and the common salsa. Now I need to take a moment and talk about this salsa. The salsa had so much flavor and it wasn't like the other salsas that you would get from Mazatlan or your general local, Mexican food restaurants. in my opinion, this is probably the best salsa that I've ever had from any Mexican restaurant hands-down we ordered our drinks just your typical run of the mill beer. My wife ordered the chicken enchiladas with rice and beans and I ordered the steak fajitas. These are probably the best tasting steak fajitas that I've had anywhere hands-down the tortillas were even handmade hand pressed the restaurant I strongly recommend going to El Primo in South McMinnville and giving it a try. The food, the service, the ambience, all wrapped up for a great place to eat !

Have you guys had the shrimp enchiladas because COME ON I could die happy eating those things for the rest of my life. So delicious. And their salsa is delicious. My favorite in town. I took some home it's that great. Great service as well, they're always very sweet. Thank you for tasty comfort food El Primo.
The Best Mexican Food In McMinnville. The blended margaritas are the best ratio of ice to liquid, and the flavor is so good that we have endlessly tried to replicate it at home. LOCAL TIP: The margaritas have allegedly gotten weaker in recent years, so some people order with an extra shot of tequila. Ample parking, but sometimes it feels full because the place is so popular; HINT: there's still parking nearby on the street right behind. Be sure to go on Thursdays through the weekend, when abuela flips, flops, and presses handmade tortillas right before your very eyes, just inside the front door. Service is always friendly and thorough.
